The colors had been lively, opaque brown, crimson and white pigment on top of a clear white wash history. While I had seen various pictures on the artwork, it wasn't right up until I saw it in person who I realized all the surface area from the rock experienced the whitewashed under-painting.  I could however see the drips with the clean covering
